Vintage market, music, and street art in the heart of Torre Santa Susanna
The Dèjà vu Festival is one of the most anticipated summer evenings in Torre Santa Susanna, a small town in the Province of Brindisi nestled among the Primitivo vineyards in the heart of northern Salento. Established in 2023 by the Nuova Vita Torrese association with the support of the local municipality, the festival has grown with each edition to become a true symbol of the town's identity: an event designed to bring people together, bridging different generations and connecting local heritage with contemporary creative expressions.
The heart of the festival is the Dèjà Vu Market, a sprawling market occupying the streets and squares of the town center: vintage stalls, upcycled goods, local crafts, and urban and pop exhibitors create a walkable path filled with colors, music, and scents. Completing the scene is the classic car exhibition, which over the years has become one of the event's iconic images, attracting enthusiasts and curious visitors from across the region.
As evening falls, the festival lights up: street artists—acrobats, fire-eaters, performers, and writers engaged in live painting—animate the corners of the village, while the spacious food area, managed by local businesses, offers specialties and street food. The highlight is the live concert, followed by a DJ set that turns the square into an open-air dance floor until late at night. There are also dedicated spaces for children, with workshops and entertainment designed for families.
The first editions were held along Viale Risorgimento, the town's historic boulevard; since 2026, the festival has moved to Piazza Matteotti in the historic center, with the scenic backdrop of the Castello Contifilo. It is a free, open-air, and participatory festival that, in a single evening, captures the soul of Torre Santa Susanna and the vitality of inland Puglia, far from the major circuits but capable of bringing together market, music, art, and community.
The 2026 edition of the Dèjà vu Festival marked a turning point: after three editions along Viale Risorgimento, the event moved to Piazza Matteotti, in the heart of the historic center of Torre Santa Susanna, with the scenic backdrop of the Castello Contifilo. The Dèjà Vu Market extended along Via Garibaldi and Via Lenza, featuring vintage stalls, crafts, and upcycled goods, accompanied by the now-essential classic car exhibition. Between street performances, a kids' area for families, and a rich food area managed by local businesses, the evening concluded with live music and a DJ set until late at night.
