A festival for everyone, gluten-free
Dances and Dishes is a unique gastronomic event in Liguria: the entire menu is gluten-free, designed to safely welcome those with celiac disease or intolerances. It takes place in the hamlet of San Giovanni, in the municipality of Stella, in the province of Savona.
The gluten-free menu
At the stands, you can enjoy pasta, fried foods, grilled dishes, and desserts, all strictly prepared without gluten. This attention makes the festival a reference point for families with celiacs, who are often forced to give up the pleasure of a village festival.
Occitan dances and music
As the name suggests, alongside the dishes there are dances: both evenings are enlivened by Occitan dances and musical entertainment. Organized by ANSPI Stella San Giovanni, the festival combines conviviality, inclusion, and tradition, confirming itself as one of the most original summer events in the hinterland of Savona.
Dances and Dishes — edition 2026
For 2026, Dances and Dishes is scheduled for August 10 and 11 in the hamlet of San Giovanni di Stella, as confirmed by the Stella Municipality's event calendar.
This year again, the festival offers an entirely gluten-free menu — pasta, fried foods, grilled dishes, and desserts — designed to safely welcome those with celiac disease. Both evenings are enlivened by Occitan dances and musical entertainment, organized by ANSPI Stella San Giovanni.
