CSEN Agility Dog and Hoopers Competition – Torcegno Sports Field

Dog sports arrive in Torcegno

The Torcegno Sports Field, in a small town in Valsugana in the province of Trento, hosts two days dedicated to dog sports organized by the ASD Centro Cinofilo Valsugana. The competitions are part of the national CSEN Atlante Cinofilia circuit and attract handler-dog teams from Trentino-Alto Adige and surrounding regions.

Night Agility Dog and Hoopers

The program consists of two different and complementary disciplines:

• Agility Dog – held at night under the field lights: the dog, guided only by the handler's voice and gestures, tackles an obstacle course (jumps, tunnels, slalom, walkways) in the shortest time possible and without penalties.
• Hoopers – a more recent, low-impact discipline where the dog navigates a fluid course through hoops, guided from a distance without jumps or sharp turns: ideal for dogs of all ages and sizes.

The trials are timed and divided by height and skill categories, with judges and stewards recognized by the CSEN circuit.

The Centro Cinofilo Valsugana

The ASD Centro Cinofilo Valsugana is a sports organization rooted in the Trentino area, registered in the national sports society registry and active for years in dog competitions. Its teams have represented Trentino in major national events, such as the Italian Agility Dog Supercup. The Torcegno sports field is one of the regular venues for the competitions organized by the center.

An event for everyone

Admission for the public is free: families, curious visitors, and enthusiasts can watch the trials, cheer for the competing teams, and discover the world of dog sports up close. The natural setting of the Municipality of Torcegno, among the woods and mountains of Valsugana in Trentino-Alto Adige, makes the event a pleasant occasion even for those approaching these disciplines for the first time.
