The legendary fried focaccette, music, and typical dishes in western Genoa
The Crevari Festival is one of those festivals worth a day trip. Crevari is a hilltop hamlet in the western part of Genoa, above Voltri, a village that has preserved its popular identity intact. Here, on the occasion of April 25th and May 1st, the ANPI Crevari–Campenave organizes a festival that has become an eagerly awaited event for the entire area, especially for its famous fried focaccette, prepared continuously from opening until midnight.
In addition to focaccette, the festival's cuisine offers the best of tradition: ravioli, pansotti, fried anchovies, lasagna, sausage, and to finish, strawberries with ice cream. A genuine gastronomic offering that draws the public for lunch and, with a more informal menu, also for the musical evenings.
The program alternates between afternoon ballroom dancing and live music evenings. The highlight is Crevari Invade, with concerts that liven up the festival until late at night: on April 25th, Matrioska and Sconvoltri take the stage, while on May 1st, it's the turn of Bantukemistry and Rankin Fabio, with reggae sounds and fusions. Caribbean and Latin dances are also featured.
Linked to the anniversaries of the Liberation and Labor Day, the Crevari festival combines the convivial dimension with the value of historical memory, in line with the spirit of ANPI. An event that tells the most authentic and solidarity-driven soul of this corner of Genoa and Liguria.
The 2026 edition of the Crevari Festival is spread over two days, April 25th and May 1st, starting from 12:30 PM. The legendary fried focaccette are prepared continuously until midnight, accompanied by traditional Ligurian dishes.
The afternoon is dedicated to ballroom dancing and other dances, while the evening features the Crevari Invade event with live music: on April 25th, Matrioska and Sconvoltri; on May 1st, Bantukemistry and Rankin Fabio. A free shuttle service is available from 7 PM to midnight from the terminus of line 1.
