The premier electronic music festival in the Dolomites, held at the Brunico Castle Hill
The Crazy Castle Festival originated over a decade ago as a small gathering on the Schlossberg—the Castle Hill—in Brunico/Bruneck, and has since grown into the largest electronic music festival in the Dolomites and all of South Tyrol. Every year, the hill overlooking this Puster Valley town transforms into the most expansive electronic music stage in the province of Bolzano, drawing fans from across the region and far beyond its borders.
The festival offers a broad and diverse line-up, featuring over a hundred national and international artists, including DJs and live acts spread across multiple stages. Alongside the Main Stage, recent editions have hosted themed areas dedicated to various genres: from the Hip Hop Stage to the Hardstyle Stage, and even the nostalgic I Love 90s Tent. The sonic heart of the event, however, remains electronic music in its most danceable forms, ranging from techno to tech house.
Crazy Castle is about more than just music: the festival grounds host a funfair with various attractions, a pool area, numerous food and drink stalls, and a popular campsite that allows guests to experience the event seamlessly, sleeping just a stone's throw from the stages. It is this combination of music, fun, and conviviality that defines the spirit of the event, perfectly summarized by the motto of recent editions: "Crazier than EVER!".
The setting is the unique Municipality of Brunico and the Puster Valley, in the heart of South Tyrol, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Nestled at the foot of Plan de Corones and surrounded by Dolomite peaks, the Castle Hill offers a natural backdrop that few other electronic festivals can boast, blending the power of bass with the crisp alpine air. It has become a landmark event for the region's youth and for festival-goers choosing the Dolomites as their summer destination.
The largest electronic music festival in South Tyrol returns to the Schlossberg in Brunico from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19, 2026. Once again, the Castle Hill is preparing to welcome thousands of fans for three days of music, with multiple stages dedicated to various electronic genres and more.
The official line-up for the 2026 edition has not yet been published: artists and set times will be announced by the organizers on the festival's official channels. However, the campsite, funfair, and usual services that make Crazy Castle a complete experience are confirmed. Tickets are available on the official website crazycastle.it.
The festival takes place on the Schlossberg (Castle Hill) in Brunico/Bruneck, in the Puster Valley. By car, Brunico is accessible via the Puster Valley highway (SS49); by train, the Brunico station is served by the Puster Valley line (Fortezza–San Candido).
Tickets are available on the official website crazycastle.it. A popular campsite is available, generally accessible from Saturday until Monday at noon. The festival area includes a funfair, pool area, and food and drink stalls.
Contact the Brunico Kronplatz tourist office or visit the official festival website for the program, schedules, and line-up updates.
