Four days of craft beer and Bavarian cuisine on the shores of Lake Maggiore
Every spring, the public gardens on the Stresa lakefront, in the heart of the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola area, transform into a large Bavarian village. The Craft Beer Festival, also known as the Bavarian Festival, is one of the most beloved food and wine events on the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore: four days where craft beer on tap, traditional German cuisine, and live music merge in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
The heart of the event is the dining area set up along the lake, where visitors can sample a selection of craft beers and fresh beer poured according to tradition, accompanied by the great classics of Bavarian cuisine. Pork knuckle, sausages, pretzels, and German specialties coexist with quality street food options, in a culinary journey designed for every palate.
The evenings are enlivened by live music and entertainment that keeps the party going until late. Between concerts, bands, and DJ sets, the vibe is that of a classic beer festival, with long tables, toasts, and a cheerful atmosphere that engages families, young people, and tourists alike.
What makes this festival special is the location: the Stresa lakefront, the pearl of Lake Maggiore and gateway to the Borromean Islands, offers a unique backdrop. With a mug in hand, you can admire the view of the lake and the mountains while enjoying Bavarian cuisine, in a mix of Central European tradition and Piedmontese beauty.
Organized with the support of the Municipality of Stresa, the Craft Beer Festival is now a permanent fixture in the event calendar of the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province, attracting visitors from all over Piedmont and nearby Lombardy.
