About Ca' Bianca

Every May 1st, Cafasse—a small town in the Metropolitan City of Turin at the gateway to the Valli di Lanzo—invites mountain running enthusiasts to the Corsa alla Ca' Bianca. A classic in the Canavese running calendar, organized by the Unione Sportiva Atletica Cafasse, the race covers just under 11 kilometers with nearly 500 meters of elevation gain, climbing from Piazza Vittorio Veneto to the iconic white house that gives the race its name. It is a tough and fascinating challenge, open to all categories and part of the UISP Canavese Circuit.

A classic of Piedmontese mountain running

The Corsa alla Ca' Bianca is one of the most deep-rooted running events in the region: it has been held for over forty years in Cafasse, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin located at the entrance to the Valli di Lanzo, in Piedmont. Organized by the Unione Sportiva Atletica Cafasse (founded on December 23, 1986), the race has become a fixed appointment on May 1st, attracting over two hundred enthusiasts of the discipline every year.

The route to the white house

The course measures approximately 10.9 kilometers with a positive elevation gain of nearly 500 meters. Starting from Piazza Vittorio Veneto in the center of Cafasse, athletes tackle a climb that becomes increasingly steep and technical, with rocky sections and narrow passages, until reaching the characteristic casetta bianca (little white house) that gives the race its name. It is this demanding finish that makes the Ca' Bianca an authentic test of mountain running, beloved by those seeking a true challenge in the woods overlooking the Valli di Lanzo.

A race of national interest

The Corsa alla Ca' Bianca is recognized as a race of national interest and is included in the UISP Canavese Circuit, mountain category. Born under the aegis of FIDAL and later moved to UISP, it has seen the participation of numerous prominent names in uphill running over the years. The organization sees the Unione Sportiva Atletica Cafasse collaborating with the Municipality of Cafasse, Fantolino, and the UISP Committee of Cirié, Settimo, and Chivasso.

Who it is for

The event is open to all male and female categories, from the youngest to masters. There is a single start for everyone, in a festive atmosphere that makes the May 1st celebration in Cafasse a moment of sport and community for the entire Province of Turin and for enthusiasts coming from all over the Canavese area and the Valli di Lanzo.
