The September rematch
Corsa all'Anello - La Rivincita is the autumn edition of the famous joust of Narni, in the province of Terni. Introduced in 2017, it doubles the event with the medieval re-enactment: in September, the three Terzieri – Mezule, Fraporta and Santa Maria – return to compete for the Palio at the Campo de li Giochi, giving the districts defeated in spring the chance for redemption.
Ten days of the Middle Ages
Like the May race, La Rivincita lasts for about ten days with historical parades, religious rites, exhibitions, concerts, shows, and gastronomic activities in the Terzieri taverns. The festival is dedicated to the Madonna Assunta and includes a common blessing in the Cathedral, with a sacred representation, before the final equestrian competition.
Living history, twice a year
For Narni, La Rivincita is much more than a replica: it is a second chapter of the city's great identity festival, allowing visitors to experience the medieval atmosphere even in autumn, when the Umbrian village is adorned in 14th-century costumes.
La Rivincita — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Corsa all'Anello - La Rivincita is expected in Narni in September, as per established tradition (historically around the second half of the month, for about ten days). The three Terzieri – Mezule, Fraporta and Santa Maria – return to compete at the Campo de li Giochi for redemption based on the results of the spring race.
At the time of writing, the exact dates and the full calendar for the 2026 edition have not yet been released by the Associazione Corsa all'Anello.
