Blooming Music Festival in the Bosco Selvatico of Putignano
Coopera Village is an independent music, art, and nature festival that animates the Bosco Selvatico of Putignano, in the Metropolitan City of Bari, in the heart of the Valle d'Itria, every summer. Subtitled Blooming Music Festival, the event is designed as a place where music "blossoms" among ancient oak trees: two days of concerts, DJ sets, installations, and gatherings immersed in a pine forest that becomes a sprawling stage, complete with soft lighting and artistic setups nestled among the trees.
The event is organized by the Co-opera cooperative, an organization active since 2017 in cultural promotion and regional development. Over the years, Coopera Village has grown to become one of the most iconic summer events on the Apulian independent scene, successfully uniting local audiences and visitors drawn by a formula that blends great music, sustainability, and a sense of community.
Coopera Village is more than just a concert lineup; it is a small, temporary village. Alongside the stages, you will find experiential workshops (ceramics, textiles, crafts, creative writing, wellness), exhibitions by Apulian artists, independent craft markets, food areas featuring local cuisine, and spaces dedicated to children. The stated goal is to offer a 360-degree experience where the nature of the woods is not just a backdrop but an integral part of the narrative, defined by freedom and environmental respect.
The festival's setting is the Bosco Selvatico, located along Strada Comunale Lombardi 26 in Putignano, a town known throughout Italy for its historic Carnival. The forest, with its oaks and shaded clearings, offers a cool and evocative environment on July evenings, in stark contrast to the heat of the Apulian countryside. The choice of this location perfectly captures the spirit of the project: taking culture outside conventional circuits and restoring value to a local green space.
The musical programming prioritizes the new Italian scene and experimental sounds: contemporary singer-songwriters, indie, electronic, funk, and club culture alternate on the various stages throughout the day, from late afternoon until late at night. Throughout its editions, Coopera Village has hosted both emerging artists and established names in independent music, accompanying live concerts with DJ sets and vinyl sets that guide the audience from one stage to the next.
Supported by the Municipality of Putignano, Coopera Village is an important piece of the cultural summer in the Valle d'Itria and Puglia. Its philosophy—independent music, participatory art, and a focus on nature and collective dimensions—makes it a beloved event for those seeking an alternative to large commercial festivals, within an intimate setting deeply rooted in the local community.
The 6th edition of Coopera Village is scheduled for Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Bosco Selvatico in Putignano (BA). The two-day formula immersed in nature is confirmed, with multiple stages featuring live music, DJ sets, and vinyl sets, accompanied by experiential workshops, art installations, independent craft markets, and gastronomic areas.
The big news for the 2026 edition is camping in the woods: a dedicated space to stay overnight among the ancient oaks for the duration of the festival, with restrooms, showers, and shaded areas, accessible via the Village Pass.
The festival takes place at the Bosco Selvatico, Strada Comunale Lombardi 26, in Putignano (BA). By car, it can be reached via the SS172 dei Trulli; Putignano is well-connected to Bari and the Adriatic coast. By train, you can arrive at the Putignano station on the Ferrovie del Sud Est line, with a short connection to the festival area.
Tickets are available on the DICE platform. Daily passes (starting from approximately 16 euros) and the Village Pass, which includes access to the camping area (around 43 euros), are available. This event is recommended for an adult audience.
Starting from the 2026 edition, it is possible to camp directly in the woods with the Village Pass, featuring tents, bathrooms, showers, and shaded areas. Alternatively, local accommodations (such as La Chiusa di Chietri) offer packages dedicated to festival-goers.
