Two days of conferences on milk and tastings in the historic centre
Codogno con Gusto is the food, wine, and cultural event that Codogno, in the Basso Lodigiano area of the province of Lodi, dedicates to the products of its territory. The event has a precise structure: a first day of technical in-depth analysis and a second dedicated to celebration, tastings, and meeting producers in the heart of the city.
On Friday, at the Giuseppe Vezzulli Exhibition Centre, a conference is held dedicated to the milk supply chain and the agri-food products of the area. Topics include the evolution of dairy farming, animal nutrition and health, food safety, with a final round table on major local cheeses such as Grana Lodigiano, Gorgonzola, and Provolone. Participants include Slow Food, the agricultural institutes ITAS A. Tosi and CALAM, the veterinary faculty, BCC Centropadana, and agronomists' associations.
On Saturday, the event moves to the historic centre of Codogno, which fills with tastings, producers' stalls, and widespread events. This is the most popular and convivial part, where the excellences discussed the previous day at the conference arrive directly in the glasses and plates of the public.
Codogno con Gusto stands out for its approach: not just a food festival, but an opportunity to learn about the agri-food supply chain of the Lodi area, involving schools, institutions, and the agricultural world. A model that enhances typical products by linking them to their history and territory.
