Trail running in the heart of the Cento Laghi Park, in Corniglio
The CLUT – Cento Laghi Ultimate Trail is the trail running event that has elected Corniglio, a small mountain municipality in the Province of Parma, as the capital of mountain running in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The name recalls the famous "Cento Laghi" (Hundred Lakes) area, the system of glacial bodies of water — including the Lago Santo Parmense, the largest and deepest natural lake in the northern Apennines — nestled among the ridges of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park and the Ducal Parks.
The race is organized by Parmarathon ASD in collaboration with the Municipality of Corniglio and carries on the legacy of previous races in the area. The headquarters are located in Piazza Castello, in the center of Corniglio, which houses the secretariat, bib collection, changing rooms, and the final pasta party.
The beauty of CLUT is the possibility to choose the distance that best suits your preparation, from a sporting walk to an ultra challenge:
All races are valid for the Parma Trail Running Circuit. The competitions are surrounded by a program of collateral events with food stands, DJ sets, guided treks, and mini trails for children.
Running the CLUT means crossing some of the most evocative landscapes of the northern Apennines: ancient beech forests, high-altitude meadows, the ridge marking the border between Emilia and Tuscany, and, of course, the glacial lakes that give the event its name. A day of sport that is also an opportunity to discover the identity of a mountain territory often little known, made up of villages, traditions, and Apennine gastronomy.
For nature running enthusiasts, the Cento Laghi Ultimate Trail is now a fixed event in the late May calendar, capable of attracting athletes from all over Italy to Corniglio.
The second edition of the Cento Laghi Ultimate Trail confirmed Corniglio as one of the most beloved destinations for trail running in the Apennines. The longest race, the CLUT 70, entered the national calendar as a stage of the 15th IUTA 2026 UltraTrail Grand Prix. In the weeks leading up to the event, the CLUT 32 had already sold out, a sign of the growing popularity of the event organized by Parmarathon ASD with the Municipality of Corniglio.
Headquarters and secretariat in Piazza Castello. Four races valid for the Parma Trail Running Circuit:
Food stands, DJ sets, guided treks, and mini trails for children. After the race: changing rooms, showers, and pasta party.
Corniglio is located in the upper Parma Valley, about 50 km south of Parma. By car: from Parma, take the SS665 "Massese" towards Langhirano–Corniglio. The Lagdei location (start of CLUT 32) is reached by driving towards Lago Santo. The nearest train station is Parma, on the Milan–Bologna line.
Everything revolves around Piazza Castello in Corniglio: bib collection on Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday with staggered times by distance. Changing rooms, showers, and a final pasta party are available.
Registration is online on the ENDU platform. For groups of more than 10 people, write to [email protected]. A valid competitive sports medical certificate stating "for athletics" is mandatory.
