The motorcycle Marathon from Viareggio to Voghera with a night stop in Berceto
On the weekend of September 26-27, 2026, the village of Berceto, in the Province of Parma (Emilia-Romagna), becomes the nerve center of HAT Road, the motorcycle Marathon organized by Over 2000 Riders. The event connects Viareggio, on the Tuscan coast, to Voghera, in the Oltrepò Pavese, along an itinerary of over 650 km of secondary roads, Apennine passes, and little-traveled hairpin bends.
HAT Road is not a competition, but a structured tourist adventure that is part of the HAT Series. The philosophy is that of the so-called "Bitumenduro": narrow roads, irregular surfaces, and challenging slopes that require the sensitivity and concentration typical of off-road riding, while always remaining 100% on asphalt and on roads open to traffic. You can also participate as a couple, with a passenger, and participation is free: you can shorten the route at any time.
Berceto, located along the historic Via Francigena at the foot of the Cisa Pass, is the overnight stop that divides the challenge in two. Riders in the Classic category arrive here at the end of the first day, after crossing the Garfagnana and the Modenese Apennines, and set off again the next day towards Voghera. For the Parma village, accustomed to the passage of motorcyclists and pilgrims, the arrival of the HAT Road caravan represents an opportunity for visibility and tourist welcome.
The first stage crosses the Garfagnana and the Modenese area, touching passes such as Gombitelli, Foce di Sella, Bicocca, Passo di Pradaccio, and Passo delle Radici before descending to Berceto. The second stage unfolds between Emilia, Liguria, and Oltrepò Pavese, with scenic routes towards Voghera. Those who complete the entire route respecting the checkpoints receive the "100% Marathon Prize" sticker.
The 2026 edition marks the debut of the new Viareggio-Voghera route with an overnight stop in Berceto (PR). The caravan departs on Saturday, September 26th, from the Tuscan coast and reaches the Parma Apennines in the evening; on Sunday the 27th, it departs again towards the Oltrepò Pavese. The formula remains that of the HAT Marathon: a tourist adventure on asphalt, not a race, with the possibility of participating with a passenger.
The Classic category tackles both stages (approx. 650 km). The Discovery category allows you to choose just one day or combine them.
Berceto (PR), Emilia-Romagna, is the intermediate overnight stop for HAT Road 2026. The village is located along the SS62 della Cisa, about 60 km from Parma.
By car: A15 Parma-La Spezia highway, Berceto exit. By motorcycle: the event is reserved for registered participants, but the village is easily accessible from the Apennine passes.
Registration is done online through the Over 2000 Riders shop. Overnight stays are the responsibility of the participants. For information: [email protected], tel. +39 335 7260239.
