Independent music, electronica, and singer-songwriters at the Cave di Fantiano in Grottaglie
Cinzella Festival is one of the most original musical events in the Apulian summer. Each year, in the heart of Grottaglie (Province of Taranto), the festival brings some of the most compelling names from the Italian and international independent, electronic, and singer-songwriter scenes to the stage. Its strength lies in its unique setting: the Cave di Fantiano, an ancient, disused tuff quarry turned into a natural park, where limestone rock walls create acoustics and an atmosphere few other places in Italy can offer.
Performing and listening to music inside the Cave di Fantiano is a distinct experience: the audience gathers among terraces carved into the stone, while Mediterranean vegetation and the golden hour light create a natural backdrop that complements every performance. This deep bond between music and landscape has become the hallmark of Cinzella, attracting spectators from all over Apulia and beyond.
Founded in 2017, Cinzella Festival is organized by the AFO6 Social Promotion Association of Taranto and artistically directed by the Taranto-born actor and director Michele Riondino. Over the years, the festival has built a bold and cross-genre program, alternating icons of international punk and rock with pioneers of experimental electronica and Italian singer-songwriters, without shying away from forays into cinema and culture. The festival is supported by the regional program PiiiL Cultura in Puglia.
Beyond the evening concerts, Cinzella has always maintained a multidisciplinary vocation, with moments dedicated to film screenings, meetings, and the promotion of the Grottaglie area, world-famous for its ceramic tradition. The festival has thus become a cultural engine for the entire Ionian area, uniting local audiences and visitors drawn by the quality of the artistic lineup and the beauty of the surroundings.
With its formula blending big names and experimental research, natural settings, and a focus on the local territory, Cinzella Festival is now a landmark event of the summer in the Province of Taranto and throughout Apulia. It is an experience that goes beyond the typical concert, confirming Grottaglie as an unmissable destination for those who love live music in extraordinary settings.
From July 25 to 27, 2026, Cinzella Festival returns to the Cave di Fantiano in Grottaglie (Taranto) to celebrate its tenth edition. Three days of concerts under the artistic direction of Michele Riondino, with a lineup ranging from experimental electronica and art-rock to high-quality singer-songwriter music.
Opening on Saturday, July 25, will be Kerala Dust and Populous, featuring electronic atmospheres and soundscapes. Sunday, July 26, will feature Indian Wells and the highly anticipated return of Bluvertigo, in what is announced as their only date in Apulia. Closing on Monday, July 27, is the concert by Niccolò Fabi, accompanied by his band.
The event, organized by the AFO6 Social Promotion Association of Taranto, confirms the festival's commitment to combining quality music with the promotion of the Apulian territory.
The festival is held at the Cave di Fantiano in Grottaglie (74023), in the Province of Taranto, Apulia. It is a former tuff quarry transformed into a natural park.
