A widespread summer in the heart of the BAT province

Chiare sere d'estate is the summer festival organized by the Municipality of Trinitapoli, a town in the Barletta-Andria-Trani (BAT) province of Apulia, overlooking the Margherita di Savoia salt pans and home to the evocative Bronze Age Hypogea Archaeological Park. Rather than a single event, it is a comprehensive calendar featuring dozens of appointments from late June to late August, bringing entertainment not only to the historic center but also to parks, sports facilities, and squares across various neighborhoods. The concept is a «widespread» summer that reaches every corner of the city and involves the entire community.

The Dance and Music Week

The 2026 edition opened with the Dance and Music Week, four consecutive evenings from June 30th to July 3rd in Piazza della Legalità, dedicated to performances by local dance and gymnastics schools. Local groups and their students took to the stage in a showcase that highlights Trinitapoli's talent, transforming the square into an open-air theater for families and enthusiasts alike.

Towards the patronal feast

The highlight of the Trinitapoli summer remains the Feast of the Patron Saints — the Blessed Virgin Mary of Loreto and Saint Stephen the Protomartyr — traditionally celebrated around August 14th, 15th, and 16th, when illuminations, brass band concerts, and a grand evening musical show enliven the city center. Over the years, the closing night has hosted well-known names from the Italian music scene, attracting audiences from across the province.

A program for the whole community

Alongside the shows, «Chiare sere d'estate» typically offers dancing under the stars, cabaret, theater, open-air cinema, children's activities, and sports initiatives such as the White Night of Sport and the local road race. The full program for July and August 2026 is announced by the municipal administration on official channels throughout the season.
