The beer festival at the CRC in Pozzolatico, featuring craft beers, grilled meats, and live music
The Chianti Beer Festival is organized by the CRC of Pozzolatico, the recreational and cultural club of the village of Pozzolatico, in the municipality of Impruneta, in the province of Florence. Set in the hills that slope down from the Tuscan capital toward the Chianti region, the event has earned a loyal following over the years thanks to a simple and winning formula: free admission, excellent beer, abundant food, and live music every night.
The heart of the event is, naturally, the beer: the Circolino's taps flow with beloved craft and classic brews, featuring a long-standing partnership with the I Due Mastri brewery from Prato, alongside international labels. The gastronomic offerings are centered around the beer bar, featuring grilled meats, delicious fried fish, and vegetarian dishes designed to satisfy every palate. The kitchen and stalls open every evening starting at 7:00 PM; dinner reservations are recommended on busier nights.
The Chianti Beer Festival is also about music: every evening revolves around the stage set up in the club's grounds, with free live concerts, tribute bands, and DJ sets. Past editions have featured a variety of artists and groups, from rock and dance ensembles to popular local tribute bands, including the famous Combriccola del Blasco, dedicated to Vasco Rossi. The combination of good beer, traditional dishes, and concerts makes the festival a perfect occasion for an evening outdoors in good company, just minutes from the center of Florence.
Promoted by the CRC of Pozzolatico as part of the ARCI network, the festival is part of the Circolino's summer calendar, which also features the Sagra della Bistecca con fungo porcino (Steak and Porcini Mushroom Festival) during the same period. The atmosphere is the convivial and genuine one of Tuscan social clubs, where a village fair meets a passion for beer. The event takes place at via Imprunetana per Pozzolatico 227-229, in Impruneta (Florence), in the heart of a hilly area easily accessible from the city and the Chianti region.
The Chianti Beer Festival takes place between June and July, spanning several consecutive evenings, at the CRC of Pozzolatico in the municipality of Impruneta. Admission is free and the event is open to everyone; for musical evenings, an ARCI membership card may be requested, in accordance with the club's regulations.
