Chianina meats, Umbrian pork, and the historic Tractor Fair of Montecastrilli
The Chianina and Umbrian Pork Festival is one of the most anticipated gastronomic events in Montecastrilli, in the heart of the province of Terni. The event focuses on the quality of two typical local products: the prized Chianina meat and Umbrian pork, showcased in the Pro Loco's food stalls.
The stalls offer 'cresciole', Chianina meat, and Umbrian pork cooked according to tradition, in a culinary journey that tells the story of the agri-food culture of this corner of Umbria. The festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Montecastrilli, which has always been committed to promoting the territory and its traditions.
Alongside the festival is the historic Tractor Fair (Agricollina), an exhibition and market of agricultural machinery and livestock farming that attracts exhibitors and enthusiasts. The program is completed by dancing evenings and sports activities for all ages, in a celebration that combines taste, agriculture, and fun.
The 2026 edition of the Chianina and Umbrian Pork Festival is held in Montecastrilli from April 23 to May 2, together with the 71st Tractor Fair.
The program includes the opening of food stalls with local typical products such as 'cresciole', Chianina meats, and Umbrian pork. Until April 26, the agricultural machinery exhibition and market is set up; also scheduled are dancing evenings and sports activities for all ages.
The detailed program for the evenings is published by the Pro Loco of Montecastrilli and on agricollinamontecastrilli.it.
