The Queen of the Hill

On the hill overlooking Lake Corbara, between Todi and Orvieto, the hamlet of Cerreto di Baschi (in the province of Terni) hosts a festival every August dedicated to a simple and irresistible star: flatbread. Founded in 1992, the event has become one of the most beloved in southern Umbria over the years.

A Special Flatbread

The secret lies in baking it in a wood-fired oven with a few genuine ingredients, sourced from local suppliers, and generous fillings. Cerreto's flatbread is offered in various versions, accompanied by festival food ranging from appetizers, fried items, supplì, sweets, seasonal fruit, wine, beer, and coffee.

Music, Dancing, and Conviviality

In addition to gastronomy, the festival features live music and areas dedicated to dancing that liven up the evenings. The atmosphere is that of an authentic village festival, where families, groups of friends, and children find a warm welcome.

A Festival of the Municipality of Baschi

Organized by the volunteers of the Club degli Amici, the Flatbread Festival is held in Cerreto di Baschi, a hamlet of the Municipality of Baschi. It attracts thousands of visitors every evening, many of whom take the opportunity to stay and discover the area between the Tiber River and the Lake Valley.
