Cepagatti celebrates music on June 21st

The Cepagatti Music Festival is the event where this town in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo, celebrates the summer solstice and European Music Day every June 21st. Organized by the Pro Loco Cepagatti with the support of the Municipality, the event turns the Portici area and Via Roma into a large open-air stage, where concerts, DJ sets, and live performances follow one another from late afternoon until night.

A deeply rooted local tradition

Born in the wake of the European celebration that has united hundreds of cities across the continent since 1982, the Cepagatti Music Festival has become one of the most anticipated evenings on the local summer calendar over the years. The 2025 edition marked the 31st local edition, a testament to how deeply rooted this event is in the town's social fabric. The formula is simple and successful: free music, accessible to everyone, in the streets of the center, with the participation of local artists and musicians.

What to expect

The evening blends different genres and styles: from the DJ sets that kick off the festival to Italian music cover bands, and from solo vocalists accompanied by guitars to younger, experimental acts. Performances are concentrated in the charming Portici area along Via Roma, where the historic arcades of the center provide a natural backdrop for the crowds filling the streets.

Cepagatti and the Abruzzo summer

The Music Festival effectively opens the "Cepagatti Summer" program, a series of events promoted by the Municipal Administration from June to September in collaboration with local associations and committees, spreading activities between the main town and the hamlets of Villanova, Rapattoni, Vallemare, and Buccieri. In a territory of the Pescara province that lives its summer intensely, this evening represents "the perfect soundtrack" to welcome the beautiful season.
