Two nights of open-air music in Piazza Plebiscito

Over the years, the Ceglie Summer Festival has become one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Ceglie Messapica, a charming town in the Itria Valley, in the province of Brindisi, Puglia. The festival brings high-quality live music to the historic center, specifically to the scenic Piazza Plebiscito, which for two consecutive evenings turns into an open-air stage under the stars.
The festival format features two nights of free admission, designed to bring locals and visitors together in a festive atmosphere. Each evening alternates between full concerts, DJ sets, and live performances, spanning genres from singer-songwriter and pop to indie and alternative sounds from the new Italian scene. The lineup combines established national artists with promising young voices, often with a strong emphasis on local talent from Puglia and Salento.
The Ceglie Summer Festival is an integral part of CegliEstate, the extensive summer program of the Municipality of Ceglie Messapica. Between June and September, this program enlivens the city's squares, streets, and public spaces with over a hundred events covering music, culture, theater, and local culinary traditions. The artistic and organizational direction of the music festival is handled by New Music Promotion, which curates the guest selection in collaboration with the municipal administration.
Attending the festival is also the perfect opportunity to discover Ceglie Messapica, one of the most characteristic villages in the Itria Valley, famous for its historic center, its ducal castle, and a renowned gastronomic tradition that has earned it the title of "City of Good Food." The setting of Piazza Plebiscito, surrounded by historic buildings and whitewashed alleys, gives the festival evenings an intimate and authentically Apulian atmosphere.
