Castel del Bosco Flea Market

A summer tradition in the upper Val Chisone

The Castel del Bosco Flea Market is one of the most anticipated summer events in the Pinerolo area. It takes place in Castel del Bosco, a hamlet of the municipality of Roure, in the province of Turin, deep in the heart of the upper Val Chisone. Organized with care and passion by the G.S.R. Castel del Bosco (Recreational Sports Group), the market has become a landmark for enthusiasts of antiques, vintage goods, and collectibles from across Piedmont and beyond.

What to find among the stalls

For one day, the G.S.R. square and its surroundings are filled with around 150 hobbyist exhibitors offering second-hand and collectible goods: antique furniture and home decor, books and records, vintage clothing, toys, hardware, vintage tools, ceramics, prints, and a thousand little curiosities. Food sales by exhibitors are prohibited, keeping the focus entirely on second-hand items and the recovery of objects looking for a second life.

Food and drink at the festival

The market is also a day of celebration centered around mountain food. The bar opens at 5:30 AM with fresh breakfasts and sandwiches available throughout the day. At noon, the main dish is served in two seatings (12:00 PM and 1:00 PM): polenta, sausage, bread, and toma cheese, a symbol of valley cuisine. From 3:00 PM, you can enjoy sweet and savory gofri, while craft beer from the Brasseria Alpina accompanies the entire event.

A community event

More than just a simple flea market, this event is a meeting point for the community of Roure and the many visitors who head up the valley on August Sundays. The natural setting of the upper Val Chisone, amidst woods and mountains, makes the day a perfect opportunity to combine bargain hunting with a trip to the mountains of the Turin province.
