The national combat sports gala in Bibbiena
In just a few years, Casentino Fight Night has become one of the most anticipated events for combat sports enthusiasts across Italy. The event takes place in Bibbiena, in the province of Arezzo, in the green heart of the Casentino, bringing the very best of kickboxing, free boxing, Muay Thai, and K1 to the ring.
The event was born from the passion of master Andrea Voltarelli, the 2011 Italian Full Contact champion, and the Casentino Combat sports association from Soci. Year after year, the gala has raised the bar, evolving from a local gathering into a national-level showcase that attracts champions and masters from every region of Italy.
What sets Casentino Fight Night apart is its spectacular production, inspired by major American events: an illuminated ring, entrance music for every athlete, a professional announcer, a catwalk, and a stage design that transforms the Pala ESTRA (the Tennis Arena on Via Carlo Marx) into a true theater of combat. This formula has won over the Casentino public and continues to draw spectators from well beyond the borders of Tuscany.
The event structure features two distinct phases: the afternoon is dedicated to amateur matches, with dozens of athletes of all ages stepping into the ring; the evening is reserved for the professional gala, featuring headline matches starring titled champions from the main Italian federations. Preceding the competition day is the traditional official weigh-in ceremony and press conference, held the day before in Soci.
Casentino Fight Night is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Bibbiena and enjoys the support of Inplaf and numerous local Casentino businesses. For the municipal administration, it is a source of pride: having top-tier champions training and competing in the area is a sporting achievement to be celebrated and promoted, enhancing the profile of Bibbiena and the entire Casentino valley throughout Italy.
The sixth edition of Casentino Fight Night confirmed the event's growth within the national combat sports landscape. The main event took place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Pala ESTRA in Bibbiena, with amateur matches in the afternoon (from approximately 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM) and the professional gala in the evening starting at 7:30 PM.
The competition day was preceded on Saturday, March 21, by the official weigh-in and press conference, hosted at 6:30 PM at the Auditorium Berretta Rossa in Soci. The evening card featured 18 professionals and national-level athletes.
Among the announced bouts was the professional debut of Sofia Chiarini (Team Voltarelli) against Hiba Boutizla (Team Evolution Kickboxing, Padua). The evening card featured a total of 18 professionals in the ring.
