A Grand Journey into Italian Cheese
Casearia – National Fair of Italian Cheeses is the only national fair dedicated to cheese in Central-Southern Italy. It is held at the Palasport in Agnone, on Viale Europa, and attracts producers, dairies, consortia, and companies from the dairy sector from all over the peninsula. The previous edition featured over 70 exhibitors and more than 250 productions, with thousands of visitors.

Agnone, in the province of Isernia, is recognized as a City of Cheese by ONAF (National Organization of Cheese Tasters): a title that celebrates its deep cheese-making vocation, alongside the historic tradition of copper and bell craftsmanship. Casearia is the moment when this heritage is shared with a national audience.
Tastings, Masterclasses, and Awards
The program includes guided tastings, show cooking, masterclasses, workshops for families, visits to the city's heritage sites, and museum discounts. The heart of the competition is the Casearia Awards, an ONAF-sponsored award that recognizes quality, identity, and the ability to interpret cheese authentically and contemporarily. An event that combines taste, culture, and the promotion of the Molise region.
Casearia — edition 2026
The 4th edition of Casearia will take place in Agnone from August 28th to 30th, 2026, at the Palasport on Viale Europa. The formula that has driven the event's growth is confirmed: guided tastings, show cooking, masterclasses, workshops for families, visits to the city's heritage sites, and museum discounts, with the Casearia Awards recognizing the best productions. The deadline for exhibitor applications is June 30th, 2026. The most anticipated novelties of the edition will be revealed by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.

Agnone is located in Alto Molise, in the province of Isernia. By car, it can be reached via the SS86 Istonia; the nearest train station is Isernia (about 45 km away). The Palasport is located on Viale Europa.
