In 2026, the central theme was holistic design: environments designed for the physical and mental well-being of their inhabitants, featuring abundant natural light, indoor greenery, and organic materials like wood and stone. In terms of color palettes, natural earth tones—terracotta, sage green, olive—prevailed alongside neutrals, paired with precious shades inspired by gemstones (emerald, sapphire, amethyst) and metallic details.

There was also a strong focus on the continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces: balconies, terraces, and gardens are treated as true additional rooms, usable year-round thanks to technical coverings and weather-resistant furniture. Finally, sustainability permeated many of the offerings, with design objects created through the upcycling of reclaimed materials in line with circular economy principles.

A feature that distinguishes Casaidea from purely commercial trade fairs is the organized presence of small-scale manufacturers. In the 2026 edition, a collective of 38 local businesses was supported by the Lazio Region and the Rome Chamber of Commerce, both of which hosted their own information booths at the fair. Scheduled for the first half of May in the 2026 edition—after being hosted in March the previous year—Casaidea is now a permanent fixture in the capital's exhibition calendar, alongside other events that animate the Via Portuense exhibition district.
