Two days of live music, DJ sets, skiing, and festivities in the Carezza ski area
Carezza on Fire is a winter music festival held in the Carezza Dolomites ski area, within the Catinaccio-Rosengarten range in the municipality of Nova Levante/Welschnofen, in the province of Bolzano (Trentino-Alto Adige). The event combines two classic South Tyrolean winter passions: skiing on perfectly groomed slopes at the foot of the Catinaccio and high-altitude partying, with live concerts and DJ sets animating the valley station until late.
The formula is simple and engaging: the morning is dedicated to skiing, while from the early afternoon, music takes center stage. Artists and DJs take turns on stage, turning the arrival area of the slopes into a true open-air dance floor for skiers and music lovers alike. The program alternates between live pop, dance, and 90s revival acts with electronic sets, creating a festive atmosphere that draws crowds from all over South Tyrol and beyond.
The event is organized by the Nostalgic Car Club Rosengarten, in collaboration with local volunteer firefighters, and has quickly become a popular fixture in the Dolomite winter events calendar. The setting is exceptional: the reddish spires of the Catinaccio (Rosengarten), a UNESCO World Heritage site, provide the backdrop for two days that blend sport, entertainment, and mountain conviviality.
Access to the festival area is generally free with a ski pass, a daily ticket, or a table reservation. On Sunday, entry is free for everyone. The event takes place in the heart of the Carezza ski area, easily accessible from Nova Levante and the Carezza Pass, a gateway to the Dolomiti Superski area.
The second edition was held on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the Carezza ski area, in the municipality of Nova Levante/Welschnofen. Saturday's program opened with the ski race awards ceremony at 1:45 PM, followed by live music and DJ sets until the evening. On Sunday, the party continued with the brass band and an afternoon DJ set, with free entry for everyone.
Skiing in the morning and music from the afternoon: the festival's après-ski formula confirmed the success of the first edition, turning the Carezza valley station into an open-air dance floor at the foot of the Catinaccio-Rosengarten.
The Carezza ski area is located in the municipality of Nova Levante/Welschnofen (BZ), along the road connecting Bolzano to the Carezza Pass. By car: from Bolzano, it takes about 30 minutes via the SS241 Val d'Ega road. In winter, ski bus connections are available from the main towns in Val d'Ega and from Bolzano.
Access to the festival area is free with a ski pass, a daily ticket, or a table reservation; on Sunday, entry is free for everyone. Daily tickets are available from mid-March.
Wear warm, mountain-appropriate winter clothing and non-slip footwear for snowy areas. We recommend booking accommodation in Nova Levante or Val d'Ega well in advance for the event weekend.
