A day of music and solidarity for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis in Montevecchio di Pergola
Canzoni contro la paura is much more than a concert: it's a day entirely dedicated to music, information, and the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. The event takes place in the charming village of Montevecchio, a hamlet of the Municipality of Pergola, in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, one of the most authentic areas of the Marche hinterland. Here, through the village streets, local bands and artists take turns on stage to provide emotions and, at the same time, raise funds for research.
The initiative is promoted by AISM (Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association), Pesaro-Urbino Provincial Section, along with a dense network of local organizations: the Pro Loco of Pergola and Fratte Rosa, Circo Montevecchio, several AVIS sections in the area, and AUSER of Pergola. The event also enjoys the patronage of the Municipalities of Pergola, Fratte Rosa, and San Lorenzo in Campo, and the Marche Regional Council. This collaboration between associations, volunteers, and institutions is a sign of a community that knows how to unite around an important cause.
The program alternates live musical performances with moments of reflection, during which medical experts and AISM representatives provide updates on research and treatment prospects. It's a way to raise public awareness, bring people closer to the reality of those living with Multiple Sclerosis, and concretely support the association's activities. Over the years, the event has seen the return of numerous artists who have already participated, enriched each time by new contributions.
Throughout the day, the food stalls remain open, where you can taste local specialties and spend time together. Admission is free, and the funds raised, after deducting organizational costs, are entirely donated to AISM of Pesaro-Urbino. Participating means therefore experiencing an afternoon of good music and, at the same time, contributing to a concrete cause. An eagerly awaited event that, edition after edition, confirms the deep bond between the Pergola territory and solidarity efforts.
