A night of wine and stars in western Sicily

Calici di Stelle at the Real Cantina Borbonica is the Partinico (Palermo province) stage of the national Calici di Stelle event, promoted in Sicily by the Movimento Turismo del Vino Sicilia in collaboration with the National Association of Wine Cities. Every summer, around the night of San Lorenzo, the island's most atmospheric wineries open their doors to welcome enthusiasts and curious visitors for tastings under the starry sky. In Partinico, the setting is exceptional: the Real Cantina Borbonica on Via Principe Umberto, a historic building commissioned during the Bourbon era for winemaking, now serving as a cultural and oenological hub for the region.

Wine, masterclasses, and local culture

The heart of the evening lies in the tastings: visitors can sample wines from local wineries, the Enoteca Regionale Sicilia Occidentale, and the Consorzio Monreale DOC, paired with traditional local gastronomic products. Alongside the tasting counters, there are masterclasses led by experts, dedicated to indigenous grape varieties like Catarratto and the appellations of the district.

The event is not just about wine: the Real Cantina Borbonica hosts photography and art exhibitions, guided tours of the facility curated by Pro Loco volunteers, theatrical performances, live music, and entertainment. It is a unique opportunity to discover the winemaking identity of Partinico and the entire Sicily region, where the culture of responsible drinking intertwines with art and the enhancement of historical heritage.

Calici di Stelle is organized in Partinico by the Pro Loco Cesarò Partinico APS as part of the regional calendar of the Movimento Turismo del Vino Sicilia, which involves dozens of wineries across the island every year between late July and mid-August.
