In Pont Canavese, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin located at the gateway to the Orco and Soana Valleys, summer has its own gentle ritual: Calici di Luce. The event transforms the grounds of the Torre Tellaria—an ancient 10th-11th century fortification built by the Counts of Canavese—into an open-air stage dedicated to fine food, excellent wine, and great music.
Tasting dinner and pairings
The heart of the event is a tasting dinner with a menu curated by Piemonte Catering, designed to showcase the flavors, aromas, and emotions of the region. Each course is paired with a different glass of wine, with pairings presented by a sommelier who guides guests through the discovery of Piedmontese labels. The setting is the intimate and scenic park at the foot of the tower, where the warm evening light perfectly complements the event's name.

The dinner is accompanied by live music: the piano notes of Michela Varda and the voice of Elena Colombatto create the atmosphere of an elegant and relaxed summer night, suspended between history and landscape.
A local event
Calici di Luce is organized by the I TIRAPERE association in collaboration with the Municipal Council of Pont Canavese, with the support of the Municipality and the Unione Montana Valli Orco e Soana. More than just a dinner, it is an opportunity to experience one of the town's iconic monuments and to promote the food and wine of this corner of Piedmont, where the Graian Alps meet the Canavese plains.

The sixth edition of Calici di Luce takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in the evocative setting of the Torre Tellaria in Pont Canavese. The evening features an open-air tasting dinner with a menu curated by Piemonte Catering, dedicated to local flavors, and wine pairings explained by a sommelier. The dinner will be accompanied by the live music of Michela Varda on piano and Elena Colombatto on vocals. The event is organized by the I TIRAPERE association with the Municipal Council.
