About Brucia Festival
A festival that brings culture to the streets
Brucia Festival is a multidisciplinary cultural event born in Savona from the initiative of the Fiammiferi association, made up of young people under 30, in collaboration with Cattivi Maestri APS. The idea is simple and ambitious: to take culture and art out of their usual spaces and bring them to the people, in the city's squares and streets.
Nine days, over fifty events
The festival spans nine days with more than fifty events ranging from theatre, visual arts, music, cinema, talks, and workshops. Three exhibitions are set up at the Priamar Fortress, while the Chiabrera Theatre hosts the showcase dedicated to schools and universities. The symbolic heart of the opening is the cultural parade that crosses the city centre.
A young bet
Supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo (SPARKZ program) and Fondazione De Mari, Brucia Festival is a bet on the ability of young people to build culture. Almost all events are free admission, confirming the popular and inclusive nature of the event, which brings new life to Savona's cultural scene.
Brucia Festival — edition 2026
The first edition of Brucia Festival, organized by the Fiammiferi association with Cattivi Maestri APS, enlivened Savona from May 9th to 17th, 2026. Nine days of widespread culture with over fifty events, from the inaugural parade to the exhibitions at the Priamar Fortress, including the theatre showcase at the Chiabrera and the final concert. Almost all events were free admission.
Programme Brucia Festival 2026
Saturday, May 9th
- 4:00 PM — Inaugural cultural parade from Piazza Diaz (with the Forzano Band), through Piazza Sisto and Piazza Pertini to the Priamar Fortress (arrival around 6:00 PM)
- 7:00 PM — Inauguration of three exhibitions at the Palazzo del Commissario: "Cultures in Progress" (Liguria artists under 35), "[Çigae]" by Gaia De Megni, and "School Exhibition"
Monday, May 11th to Saturday, May 16th — Chiabrera Theatre
- 9:30 PM — "Theatre School and University" showcase with performances by regional and local schools
Saturday, May 16th
- Evening — Concert with Elso, Faccianuvola, and Ceri Wax (the only ticketed event)
For the nine days: over fifty events including visual arts, music, cinema, talks, and workshops.

How to get there
By train: Savona station on the Genoa–Ventimiglia line. By car: A10 motorway, Savona exit. Events take place between the Priamar Fortress, the Chiabrera Theatre, and the streets of the city centre.
Admission
Almost all events are free admission; only the evening concert on May 16th is ticketed.
