A race for the brave across the roads, dirt tracks, and trails of Moriondo Torinese
The Braveheart Run arrives in Moriondo Torinese, a town nestled in the hills of the Chieri area in the Province of Turin, in the heart of Piedmont. This non-competitive footrace, promoted by Team Garbin in collaboration with the local municipality, is designed for those who love outdoor movement without the stress of a stopwatch. The name says it all: here, the winner isn't the fastest, but the one with the courage to test themselves and enjoy the journey.
Participants can choose between two distances, both with minimal elevation gain (just 60 meters), suitable for both seasoned athletes and those running purely for pleasure:
The course winds entirely through local roads, dirt tracks, and trails in and around the small village, with organization staff stationed throughout. It is a unique way to discover the hilly landscape of Moriondo while running, far from traffic and immersed in the countryside.
The philosophy of the Braveheart Run is clear: no official rankings, no stopwatches, just the thrill of challenging yourself. However, a small recognition is still awarded to the first three men and first three women to finish. Refreshment stations with water and supplements are provided along the course, and every participant receives a generous race pack including a customized event T-shirt.
The event is powered by Team Garbin, a sports group affiliated with Functional Cross Training Chieri ASD, active in the world of running and functional training in the Chieri area. The Braveheart Run was born from their desire to bring popular sports to the small towns of the Turin hills, involving the Moriondo community in a day dedicated to sport and well-being.
The Braveheart Run is the perfect opportunity to spend a June morning in the Piedmont hills, running or walking in good company. It is an accessible, informal event suitable for all ages, combining physical activity, contact with nature, and a sense of community in the heart of the small town of Moriondo Torinese.
The first edition of the Braveheart Run brought life to Moriondo Torinese on Sunday, June 14, 2026. The start was given at 9:00 AM from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the heart of the small town in the Chieri hills.
Participants were able to choose between two routes, both with a minimal elevation gain of 60 meters: the 7.2 km long course and the 4.5 km medium course, mapped out on local roads, dirt tracks, and trails around the village. As it was a non-competitive race, no official rankings were compiled, but a recognition was awarded to the first three men and first three women to cross the finish line.
Along both routes, refreshment stations were set up with water and supplements. All participants received a race pack including the customized event T-shirt. A non-competitive race without a stopwatch: recognition for the top 3 men and top 3 women.
Moriondo Torinese is located in the Chieri hills, about 25 km from Turin. By car, it can be reached from Chieri or Andezeno by following signs for the town center. The meeting point and start are in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, in the center of the village.
The race starts at 9:00 AM from Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
Entry fee is 10 euros for the long route (7.2 km) and 6 euros for the short route (4.5 km). For information and registration: Team Garbin - Functional Cross Training Chieri, www.teamgarbin.it.
