The Boscatello Carnival is one of the most anticipated winter events in Castiglion Fiorentino, a town in the Province of Arezzo, nestled in the heart of eastern Tuscany between the Valdichiana and Casentino valleys. Now in its twenty-eighth year, this is a genuine, community-focused local Carnival, built over the years by the Gruppo Sportivo Boscatello and established as a classic tradition for local families.

A festival designed for children

The heart of the event is dedicated to the little ones. Every Sunday afternoon, the Boscatello sports center transforms into a vast space of play and joy, animated by children's costume contests, the unmissable pentolaccia, and plenty of music. Confetti and streamers fill the air as children parade in their costumes amidst games and surprises.

The 'Pendolino del Boscatello' train

Among the most awaited attractions is the 'Pendolino del Boscatello', a miniature train that takes children on a fun ride: a symbol of the festival, managed by the club's volunteers, which draws both young and old every year.

Music, entertainment, and fun

The afternoon is marked by live music and entertainment, with performers involving the audience in dances, jokes, and shows. The atmosphere is typical of Tuscan village festivals: simple, warm, and inclusive, where the goal is to bring joy and lightheartedness to the entire community.

Promoted by the Gruppo Sportivo Boscatello A.P.S., led by Moreno Ceccherini, the Boscatello Carnival takes place under the patronage of the Municipality of Castiglion Fiorentino and in collaboration with the local Pro Loco. It is an event that thrives on the work of volunteers and the bond with the Boscatello neighborhood, confirming its role as a family-friendly, inclusive celebration that brings generations together around the joy of Carnival.
