Three days of Irish music, flavors, and traditions in the heart of Valsesia
Every spring, Borgosesia, a town in the province of Vercelli, Piedmont, turns green to host the Irish Festival, an event that brings the authentic atmosphere of the Emerald Isle to the heart of Valsesia. For three days, the historic center becomes an open-air stage dedicated to Irish culture, music, and gastronomy, with a program designed to engage visitors of all ages.
The heart of the festival beats between Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini and Piazza Martiri, in the center of Borgosesia, which are set up for the occasion with stands, stages, and areas dedicated to street food. Admission is free and the event is entirely outdoors, perfect for a family stroll amidst music and aromas.
The soundtrack of the event is provided by live folk music and traditional Irish dancing: performances that enliven the squares from the afternoon until late at night, guiding the audience through Celtic rhythms, group dances, and the unmistakable energy of Gaelic tradition.
A major focus is placed on gastronomy, with themed street food offering traditional Irish dishes, such as hearty stews, accompanied by famous Irish beers, including perfectly poured Guinness. There is also a craft market featuring accessories, gadgets, and items inspired by Irish culture and folklore.
The Irish Festival is designed for everyone: young people, adults, and families with children, with spaces and moments dedicated to the little ones. The initiative is organized by Gioxa Eventi Milano and the Associazione Cuochi Master, with the patronage of the City of Borgosesia, and is part of the rich calendar of events that animate the Valsesia town during the warmer months.
Located at the mouth of the Valsesia valley, at the foot of Monte Rosa, Borgosesia is an ideal gateway to discover a territory rich in nature, alpine traditions, and Walser culture. The Irish Festival is the perfect opportunity to combine a trip to Piedmont with a festive, international experience in a convivial and welcoming atmosphere.
