Wine, food, and music in the heart of the Itria Valley
Borgo diVino in Tour is the traveling food and wine festival promoted by the I Borghi più belli d'Italia association and organized by Valica S.p.A. In 2026, the tour crosses the Italian peninsula with twenty-five stops in the country's most evocative historic centers. Cisternino, a jewel of the Itria Valley in the Province of Brindisi, hosts the event for the sixth consecutive year: from July 3rd to 5th, 2026, this Apulian village becomes one of the most anticipated destinations on the national calendar.
For three evenings, the historic center of the Municipality of Cisternino, with its whitewashed alleys, courtyards, and small squares, turns into a grand tasting circuit. The exhibition area winds through Via San Quirico, Via Manzoni, Corso Umberto, and Piazza Marconi, in a space with completely free admission. While strolling among the stands, visitors can discover over one hundred labels offered by about forty wineries.
The stars of the show are naturally the great wines of Puglia and the Itria Valley: Locorotondo DOP, Martina Franca DOC, and Cisternino and Ostuni DOC wines. Alongside local labels, the event brings a national selection to Cisternino with producers from Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Basilicata, Calabria, and the Marche, offering a journey through the best of Italian oenology.
Next to the wine area, a gastronomic section offers traditional Apulian specialties: bombette, orecchiette, panzerotti, fava beans with chicory, and typical products from the most beautiful villages in Italy. Every evening, the alleys come alive with live music, with concerts ranging from swing to Italian singer-songwriter performances, accompanying your food and wine stroll in a festive atmosphere until late at night.
Borgo diVino in Tour is much more than a wine fair: it is an opportunity to discover Cisternino and the Itria Valley, the landscape of trulli and ancient olive trees, combining Apulian oenological excellence with the hospitality of one of the most fascinating villages in Southern Italy. A free event, suitable for couples, friends, and enthusiasts, which enhances the territory of the Municipality of Cisternino and the entire Puglia region.
For the sixth consecutive year, Cisternino welcomes Borgo diVino in Tour, the eleventh of twenty-five national stops for 2026. From July 3rd to 5th, from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, the historic center hosts over one hundred labels and about forty wineries from all over Italy, featuring Apulian wines such as Locorotondo DOP, Martina Franca DOC, and Ostuni DOC. Admission is free; with a 20-euro voucher, you can choose eight tastings, with a glass and pouch included. Accompanying the tastings are Apulian culinary specialties and three evenings of live music.
Tastings and the gastronomic area are open all three evenings from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
Cisternino is located in the Itria Valley, in the Province of Brindisi. By car, it can be reached via the SS16 and SS172 dei Trulli roads; the Cisternino train station is served by Ferrovie del Sud Est (Bari-Martina Franca-Taranto line), just a few kilometers from the center. Nearest airports: Brindisi-Salento and Bari-Karol Wojtyła.
Event with free access from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM on the evenings of July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2026. For tastings, it is necessary to purchase a 20-euro voucher (eight tastings, glass and pouch included), available online or on-site.
We recommend arriving on foot or parking in areas outside the historic center, which is pedestrianized. Cisternino offers numerous B&Bs, masserie, and trulli for rent in the surrounding area to extend your stay in the Itria Valley.
