A village festival on Lake Maggiore

The Böcc Festival is the quintessential summer celebration in Feriolo, a charming district of Baveno overlooking Lake Maggiore, in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province of Piedmont. Every year, between late July and early August, the local event area transforms into a vibrant social hub where evenings are filled with the aromas of traditional cuisine, live music, and dancing under the stars, just a few meters from the Feriolo beach.

Cuisine, music, and dance

The heart of the festival is its cuisine, which opens every evening at 7:00 PM (and for lunch on Sundays), offering local traditional dishes served at the food stands set up for the occasion. Starting at 9:00 PM, the live music and entertainment program kicks off: orchestras and bands take the stage with repertoires ranging from ballroom dancing to pop, rock, and 70s, 80s, and 90s dance hits, providing new opportunities for dancing every night for all ages.

A tradition by the Comitato Festeggiamenti Feriolese

The event is passionately organized by the Comitato Festeggiamenti Feriolese, an association of volunteers who have been enlivening the village's social life for years. The Böcc Festival is the highlight of a calendar of initiatives that the Committee carries out throughout the year, from the spring with the famous Costinata del Böcc to the summer with the grand festival that gives the association its name.
