In Casalzuigno, a Municipality in the Province of Varese nestled in Valcuvia, at the foot of Mount Cuvignone, the Boar Festival is one of the most anticipated gastronomic events of the summer. It is organized by the Pro Loco Casalzuigno, in collaboration with the Squadra Cuvignone, the local wild boar hunters who give the festival its authentic character.
Wild Boar Takes Center Stage on the Table
The menu revolves entirely around wild boar meat, cooked according to tradition: tagliatelle, gnocchi, and tortelli with wild boar ragù, mixed grills, as well as more modern offerings like the "Black Wild Burger" with charcoal bread. There are also vegetarian options and traditional desserts to please all palates.
Three Evenings of Music and Dancing
Each evening, the festival features live music and DJ sets, with a journey through the hits of different decades: from the 90s hits to the successes of the 2000s, to group dancing with the great classics of the 70s and 80s. A formula that transforms the Festa Area in Via Sciareda into a meeting point for families, young people, and lovers of good food.
A Community Celebration
The Boar Festival is much more than a gastronomic event: it is the result of the work of Pro Loco volunteers and the Cuvignone hunters, and it tells the story of the deep bond between Casalzuigno, its mountains, and its traditions. An opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Province of Varese, just a stone's throw from Lake Maggiore.

The 2026 edition of the Boar Festival confirms the tried-and-tested formula: three days in July at the Festa Area in Via Sciareda, with wild boar as the star of the kitchen (tagliatelle, gnocchi, and tortelli with ragù, mixed grills) and musical evenings with DJ sets and group dancing.

- Friday evening — DJ set with 90s music;
- Saturday evening — DJ set with 2000s revival;
- Sunday — group dancing with 70s-80s music.
