The Bluesacco Festival is one of the most beloved musical events in the province of Pisa, Tuscany. Established in 2009 by the Blues In The Bag Cultural Musical Association, the festival has spent years bringing blues culture to the historic center of Ponsacco, turning the central Piazza della Repubblica into a massive open-air stage. The event's motto, "Those who live for music, make music live," perfectly captures the spirit of an event built from the ground up by the passion of musicians and volunteers.

A history spanning over fifteen editions

Since 2009, the Bluesacco has reached its fifteenth edition, tracing the musical history of Ponsacco with a program that has always intertwined blues with soul, rhythm and blues, jazz, and American roots rock. Over the years, the stage has hosted both local Tuscan bands and internationally acclaimed acts, such as the Louisiana-based Honey Island Swamp Band, alongside numerous artists from the Italian blues scene. The event has often collaborated with other local initiatives, such as the "Ponsacco Street Festival Rock&Blues," enlivening the town center with several days of concerts.

Music, taste, and village atmosphere

Bluesacco is more than just concerts: throughout its editions, the evenings have been enriched with street food, craft beer, and music-themed markets, featuring vinyl records, books, and a corner for master luthiers.
