The Blueberry Festival of Rasura
In Valgerola, one of the greenest side valleys in the province of Sondrio, the small town of Rasura celebrates the fruit that symbolizes its mountains every summer with the Blueberry Festival, nicknamed "the most purple event in Valtellina". Now in its 26th edition in 2025, the festival is one of the longest-running and most beloved gastronomic events in the lower valley.
The program, spread over several days, revolves around blueberry-based cuisine, featured in sweet and savory dishes, and is enriched by live music, DJ sets, shows, craft markets, and family activities. A must-attend event is the Mirtillo Sprint Running, a race that takes participants along the trails of Valgerola, as well as initiatives like the "Mirtillo Vertical" climbing event and theatrical performances in recent editions.
Organized by Pro Loco Rasura-Mellarolo at the Centro Polifunzionale in via Ticc, the Blueberry Festival attracts visitors from all over the province of Sondrio and beyond each year, becoming one of the best opportunities to discover the flavors and hospitality of Valgerola.

For Summer 2026, the Pro Loco Rasura-Mellarolo will again host the Blueberry Festival at the Centro Polifunzionale in Rasura, Valgerola. The event confirms its multi-day format, traditionally spanning the end of July and the beginning of August, featuring blueberry cuisine, live music, markets, and the Mirtillo Sprint Running race.
