The Chestnut Roast and Tasting Kit
The event typically spans two days. On Saturday afternoon, the classic chestnut roast kicks off, with roasted chestnuts, games, and entertainment for children. On Sunday morning, in Piazza Cavour, the tasting kit is distributed, allowing participants to follow an itinerant route through the village's establishments: each stop offers a taste of Valsassina cuisine — soups, traditional dishes, mountain specialties — paired with wines from Italian cellars.
A Community Festival
Organized by the Municipality of Moggio in collaboration with local entities, the festival involves the village's restaurants, inns, and shops, transforming the center into a culinary itinerary. For 2026, the Municipality of Moggio confirms the autumn tradition of Profumi e Sapori d'Autunno, the food and wine festival that has enlivened the Valsassina village for over twenty years. The formula remains the tried and tested one: chestnut roast and entertainment on Saturday afternoon, distribution of the tasting kit and itinerant route through the village's establishments on Sunday morning, starting from 10:00 AM in Piazza Cavour.
