Christmas in Bellegra, the City of Panoramas

Perched atop the Prenestini Mountains, just over an hour from Rome, the village of Bellegra is known as the "City of Panoramas" for its sweeping views of the Aniene Valley. The heart of the event is Piazza del Municipio, where characteristic Tyrolean-style wooden chalets are set up. Amidst the lights and decorations, you can find handmade gifts, ornaments, holiday sweets, and local products: extra virgin olive oil, honey, jams, and regional wines. A covered tasting area allows visitors to savor the traditional cuisine of the Prenestini Mountains in a convivial atmosphere.

Ice skating rink and family activities

Next to the markets, an ice skating rink is installed, a favorite among children and open throughout the holiday season. There is also a Santa's House, along with workshops, children's entertainment, and musical performances that make Bellegra an ideal destination for a family Christmas trip.

A packed calendar of events

The festival, which takes place on weekends from early December until Epiphany, offers a dense program of events: the tree lighting with children's choirs, tastings dedicated to Cesanese wine, workshops for the little ones, concerts by the Bellegra Music Band and local choirs, the cheerful parade of Santa Clauses on motorcycles, New Year's Eve celebrations in the square, and, on January 6th, the arrival of the Befana with the distribution of gifts.
