Four nights of craft beer in Balestrate

The Beer Street Festival is one of the most anticipated summer events in the Palermo area: a festival entirely dedicated to Sicilian craft beer held in Balestrate, a small coastal town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily. The festival comes to life on the so-called Terrazza del Belvedere, along Via Madonna del Ponte, a viewpoint known as the "Belvedere dei Tramonti" (Sunset Viewpoint) for the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea that frames the evenings.

A journey into the island's brewing world

At the heart of the event are the Sicilian craft microbreweries, which showcase their products at numerous stalls set up along the viewpoint. Among the breweries featured in recent editions are excellence-driven names such as Birra dei Mari, Pasì, Chinaschi, Epica, Bruno Ribadi, MAG, Del Genio, Li Patarnosci, and Terre a Sud Est. Alongside the beer taps, street food stalls offer traditional Sicilian dishes and gourmet proposals reinterpreted with a modern twist, with a special focus on local ingredients.

Live music and DJ sets

Every evening, starting at 7:00 PM, the Belvedere comes alive with live concerts and DJ sets: rock bands, cover bands, and musical selections accompany the audience until late at night in a festive and convivial atmosphere. There are also talks dedicated to the world of beer and food and wine, providing moments for discussion with producers and industry experts.

A festival for the whole community

Organized by Sicily Event by Davide Merlino, the Beer Street Festival has grown edition after edition to become a benchmark for craft beer enthusiasts and local families. Admission is free: tastings are managed through a token system available for purchase on-site. The combination of quality beer, street food, music, and the sunset over the sea makes this event a complete experience, capable of highlighting both the Sicilian brewing heritage and the scenic beauty of the Balestrate coast.
