Two evenings, one square, plenty of draft beer and street food on the hills of Turin
When late May arrives, Pecetto Torinese transforms. The Piazzale delle Ciliegie, the heart of this small town on the Turin hills famous throughout Piedmont for its cherries, fills up with long tables, beer taps, and the aromas of street food. It is the Beer Festival, one of the most anticipated events organized by the Pro Loco of Pecetto Torinese: two simple and genuine evenings designed to gather outdoors and officially welcome the warm season.
The formula is the winning one of the great Piedmontese village festivals: admission is completely free, beer flows from the taps, and the area's most popular food trucks liven up the square with their specialties. From gourmet sandwiches to savory cones, and from vegetarian options to baked desserts, it is an informal dinner under the stars that pleases both adults and children. DJ sets provide the soundtrack, turning the Piazzale delle Ciliegie into an open-air dance floor until late at night.
Pecetto Torinese is located just a few kilometers from the Piedmontese capital, nestled in the greenery of the hills overlooking the city. Known as the "town of cherries," the village welcomes thousands of visitors every year who, between late May and early June, head up to the hills for its festivals: the Beer Festival opens the calendar, followed a few days later by the historic Cherry Festival. Attending means discovering an authentic corner of the Province of Turin, where the conviviality of the Pro Loco is still the true engine of community life.
The 2026 Beer Festival brought the Piazzale delle Ciliegie in Pecetto Torinese to life on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, starting at 7:00 PM with free admission. The stars of the show were draft beer and street food from four food trucks, accompanied by popular DJ sets that turned the square into a large open-air party. The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Pecetto Torinese, launched the rich calendar of festivals that animates the "town of cherries" in the Province of Turin every year between May and June.
In the square, food trucks from Panificio Deorsola, Rusty Cone, La Madda 2.0 Truck, and El Panzerotto Street, offering sandwiches, savory cones, vegetarian options, and baked desserts.
