The Beer Festival – Ottobre Fest Day is one of the most anticipated autumn events in Capo d'Orlando, a lively seaside town in the province of Messina, Sicily. Every October, the central Piazza Matteotti transforms into a large beer village, where tastings, gastronomy, and live music blend in a festive atmosphere that echoes the spirit of the classic Oktoberfest, reinterpreted with a Mediterranean twist.

Craft beers and street food

The heart of the event is, naturally, craft beer: taps are constantly flowing, offering labels from local and national producers, ranging from light blondes to more structured dark ales. Accompanying the pints are food stalls and street food, with dishes designed for beer-food pairings at affordable prices. The selection ranges from grab-and-go specialties to classic convivial dishes, creating a culinary journey that invites you to linger and socialize.

Music, DJ sets, and entertainment

Each evening features live concerts and DJ sets that keep the square buzzing until late, showcasing local bands and artists. Beside the stage, there is entertainment for all ages and a dedicated children's play area, making the event perfect for families. Admission is completely free, following the formula that has ensured the event's success since its very first edition.

A local event

The festival is organized by the Circolo Società Operaia di Mutuo Soccorso L'Avvenire with the patronage of the Municipality of Capo d'Orlando. Launched in 2024 as a social gathering combining good food, music, and community, the festival has quickly become a cornerstone of the local autumn calendar, drawing residents and visitors from the nearby Nebrodi towns and the Tyrrhenian coast of Messina.
