The Beer Festival is the summer event that transforms Mignano Monte Lungo, a town in the upper Caserta area of Campania, into the local capital of craft beer. For about a week, spanning late July and early August, the town's outdoor spaces host beer taps, food stalls, and a stage for live music, with evenings continuing until late at night. It is one of the most anticipated summer events in this corner of the Caserta province, attracting crowds from nearby southern Lazio and Molise as well.

The star beers

The heart of the festival is, naturally, the beer. Recent editions have featured a selection of Italian and international craft productions, covering a wide range of styles to satisfy both curious newcomers and seasoned beer enthusiasts:

The quality of raw materials from the Caserta region, a land of livestock farming and excellent dairy products, remains a key highlight of the menu.

Every evening, the program pairs beer with music: local bands, DJ sets, and live performances keep the area buzzing until late. The established format sees stands opening around 7:00 PM, with the evening building up to the main concert as the square fills with groups of friends, long tables, and guests of all ages. Mignano Monte Lungo, the northern gateway to Campania

The municipality of Mignano Monte Lungo is located at the northernmost tip of the province of Caserta, in a strategic position between Campania and Lazio, along the historic route connecting Capua to Cassino. The town is dominated by the Castello di Ettore Fieramosca, which defines its skyline and tells the story of its medieval origins. Its accessibility is one of the reasons for the festival's success: the town is served by an A1 motorway exit and its own railway station, a rarity for a town of this size.
