The sport for the little ones
The Baby Marathon is the youth running event in Sanremo, in the province of Imperia, dedicated to children. It takes place on the Pian di Poma athletics track and transforms a spring day into a great sports festival, with hundreds of young participants.
A festival for the whole family
In addition to the children's races, divided by age groups, the event features the Mums' Marathon and the Dads' Marathon, also involving parents. It is an event designed to promote movement, togetherness, and the values of sport from the earliest age, in a joyful and family atmosphere.
Educating through movement
The Baby Marathon is now a traditional event on the sports calendar of Sanremo, capable of introducing young children to athletics and involving entire families. An initiative that combines sport, education, and fun, supporting the healthy growth of children.
Baby Marathon — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the 26th, was held on Sunday, May 17 on the Pian di Poma athletics track, after being postponed from May 10 due to bad weather. 278 children born between 2015 and 2023 ran.
Alongside the races for the little ones, the Mums' Marathon (22nd edition) and the Dads' Marathon (24th edition) were held, also involving parents in a day dedicated to sport and family.

How to get there
The Pian di Poma athletics track is located in the western part of Sanremo. The city is served by the train station on the Genoa-Ventimiglia line; by car, take the Sanremo exit on the A10 motorway.
Registration
Free participation or upon registration, according to the organizers' instructions; open to children in the specified age groups and to parents for the dedicated marathons.
