Three days of music, good food, sport, and solidarity at the Carpi Arena Cross
The Avis Sound & Food Festival is the solidarity event of the Carpi summer: three days of music, gastronomy, sport, and conviviality that transform the Arena Cross in via Guastalla, in Carpi (Province of Modena, Emilia-Romagna), into a large meeting place. The event evolved from the original Avis Cross and, starting in 2026, adopts a new name that better reflects its spirit: Sound for live music, Food for good food, all in service of a more ambitious project. It is organized by Avis Comunale Carpi and the Società Sportiva Arena Cross di Carpi, with the aim of raising funds to support local initiatives.
The program features concerts, exhibitions, and activities for all ages. Friday evening is dedicated to young musicians, with a competition for emerging rock bands that gives space to local talent. Saturday is all about motors and rock 'n' roll, with a performance by The Hot Rods and a parade of vintage Vespas organized by Vespa Club Carpi. Sunday is the busiest day: it starts with the Walking Cross, a walk open to everyone organized with Mondo Nordic Walking along the motocross track, and continues with the exhibition of historic tractors by Vintage Tractors Carpi.
Alongside the shows, food is a major star. At the refreshment area stands, you can enjoy pizza, grilled meat, and dishes from the traditional Emilian menu on Friday and Saturday evenings, while Sunday is dedicated to set lunch and dinner menus. The closing dinner, titled "the engine of the heart" and dedicated to the memory of Giorgio Grillenzoni, supports the IN_CAMPUS project: a festive moment that encapsulates the spirit of the event, where the pleasure of good food is linked to giving and solidarity.
Having grown edition after edition, the feast is now a highly anticipated event in Carpi and the entire Bassa Modenese region. Avis, the association of Italian blood donors, takes the opportunity to promote the culture of blood and plasma donation, reminding everyone that solidarity is good for your health. The large green area of the Arena Cross, equipped with covered facilities, parking, and services, welcomes families, music lovers, sports enthusiasts, and the curious in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.
The 2026 edition inaugurated the new phase of the event, an evolution of Avis Cross, with three days packed with activities at the Arena Cross in via Guastalla. Friday evening opened with a competition for young rock bands; Saturday was dedicated to motors and music, featuring a performance by The Hot Rods and a parade of vintage Vespas by Vespa Club Carpi. Sunday, between the Walking Cross and the exhibition of historic tractors, concluded with the solidarity dinner "the engine of the heart" in support of the IN_CAMPUS project.
The Arena Cross is located at via Guastalla 19, on the outskirts of Carpi. By car, it can be reached from the Carpi exit of the A22 Brennero motorway or via the Via Emilia; ample free parking is available on site. By train, Carpi station is connected to the Modena-Mantua-Verona line.
Admission to the evenings and events is free, with the exception of the Sunday morning Nordic Walking activity. Reservations are mandatory only for the Sunday solidarity dinner and the walk.
