Attenti al Luppolo

A beer festival in the heart of Piceno

Attenti al Luppolo is the beer festival of Centobuchi, a populous hamlet in the Municipality of Monteprandone, in southern Marche, in the province of Ascoli Piceno. For five consecutive evenings, usually between June and July, Piazza dell'Unità fills with taps, tables, food stalls, and music stages, becoming one of the most popular summer events in Piceno. Founded in 2013, the event has grown edition after edition, attracting around 15,000 visitors in total.

Beer is the star

The true common thread of the festival is, of course, beer: over forty stalls offer craft and commercial labels, with the participation of breweries from Marche, Abruzzo, and Lazio. In recent editions, the event has highlighted a symbolic beer produced locally, the "Bio Blonde", made with water from the Sibillini Mountains and organic malt. Alongside the beers, visitors can find a rich gastronomic offer with specialities ranging from large sandwiches to local traditional dishes.

Music, games, and families

Every evening, the square hosts concerts, tribute bands, DJ sets, and dance nights, while for the little ones, games and bouncy castles are set up, making Attenti al Luppolo an event suitable for the whole family. The atmosphere is typical of the summer folk festivals in the Marche region, where conviviality is as much a protagonist as the beer mug.

A local event

The event is organised by the sports associations ASD Calcio Cento 2010 and ASD Vis Centobuchi, with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Monteprandone. Admission is free, and to encourage participation from the many tourists flocking to the Adriatic coast, a shuttle service is provided to and from the riviera (San Benedetto del Tronto and Porto d'Ascoli). Part of Monteprandone and Centobuchi's rich summer calendar, the festival is an opportunity to discover a lively and welcoming corner of the Marche region.
