Atri a Tavola: the taste of Abruzzo in the heart of the Ducal City
Every summer, the historic center of Atri, a jewel in the province of Teramo, turns into a grand stage for gastronomy with Atri a Tavola, the food and wine festival celebrating the flavors and traditions of Abruzzo. For two evenings, from 7:00 PM until midnight, the streets and squares of the ducal city fill with aromas, music, and visitors arriving from all over Italy.
The Way of Taste and local farmers' markets
The heart of the event is Corso Elio Adriano, renamed for the occasion as the Way of Taste: here, dozens of producers showcase the region's agri-food excellence, from oils to wines, artisanal cured meats to cheeses, as well as traditional sweets, honey, truffles, and local specialties like saffron and licorice. Alongside the local farmers' markets, you will find street food along Via Andrea De Litio, featuring food trucks serving regional, international, and modern cuisine, as well as traditional Abruzzese dishes prepared by local associations and restaurateurs.
Live cooking, concerts, and special guests
Piazza Duomo hosts live cooking demonstrations with local chefs and food bloggers, while the evenings are accompanied by concerts and musical performances ranging from traditional pizzica to 1980s hits. There is no shortage of special guests from the world of television and entertainment, who have served as patrons of the festival over the years. At the Villa Comunale, sunset aperitifs with live music round out the experience.
Guided tours of the Municipal Theater
Among the most appreciated experiences are the free guided tours of the Municipal Theater of Atri, one of the region's historic Italian-style theaters, available by reservation only with limited capacity. Visitors can explore dressing rooms, hidden corridors, and the gridiron twelve meters above the stage.
How to experience the event
Organized by the Promoeventi Association with the support of the Municipality of Atri, the festival offers free admission and provides a free shuttle bus service connecting peripheral parking lots to the historic center. Today, Atri a Tavola is one of the most anticipated food and wine events of the Abruzzo summer, successfully blending fine dining, culture, and local heritage.

Atri a Tavola 2026: save the date for August 12-13
The new edition of Atri a Tavola will be held on Tuesday, August 12, and Wednesday, August 13, 2026, in the historic center of Atri (TE). It is part of the Atri Culture in Events 2026 program, which offers over 220 appointments from July 1st to September 13th, including concerts, theater, exhibitions, excursions, and gastronomic initiatives.
As per tradition, Corso Elio Adriano will become the Way of Taste with producers and local farmers' markets, while street food, live cooking, concerts, and free guided tours of the Municipal Theater will enliven the two evenings from 7:00 PM to midnight. The event is free to enter, with a free shuttle bus service from peripheral parking lots.

Atri can be reached from the A14 motorway exit of Atri-Pineto, then by following signs for the center. During the event, a free, continuous shuttle bus service operates between peripheral parking areas and the entrance to the historic center.
