Aspettando Sentieri d'Autunno, the summer preview in Paglieta

Aspettando Sentieri d'Autunno is the evening event that, in the heart of summer, prepares the community of Paglieta, in the province of Chieti (Abruzzo), for the grand autumn event, Sentieri d'Autunno. Promoted by the Pro Loco Paglieta APS with the patronage of the Municipality, the festival transforms the historic center of the village into a journey of taste, music, and tradition, with the main street and square hosting stalls, markets, and performances.

A celebration of taste and community

The charm of the event lies in its simple and genuine atmosphere: you can stroll through the village streets with a traditional dish in hand, stop at local producers' stalls, and listen to live music under the August stars. It is an evening designed to bring together the people of Paglieta and visitors from neighboring towns, highlighting the rural identity that characterizes this corner of the Chieti area, between the Sangro Valley and the Adriatic coast.

Flavors of the Abruzzo tradition

The heart of the festival is the local cuisine, served at the food stalls set up along the route. Key specialties include:

• rintrocilo, a typical Paglieta pasta, served either with tomato sauce or garlic and oil;
• pizze fritte (fried dough), arrosticini (lamb skewers), and grilled sausages;
• french fries and traditional homemade desserts.

The dishes are paired with regional wines offered by Cantine Paolucci and Cantina Sociale Palea, showcasing the viticultural vocation of the hills in the lower Chieti province.

Live music and entertainment

The evening features entertainment for all ages: live concerts with local bands, followed by DJ sets that keep the village lively until late at night. There is also an area dedicated to children, with face painting, balloons, and entertainment, making the festival a family-friendly event.
