Artissima is the leading international contemporary art fair in Italy and one of the most prestigious in Europe. Established in 1994, it takes place every autumn at the Oval Lingotto Fiere, in the heart of Turin, the capital of Piedmont. It serves as the cornerstone of Torino Art Week, a week-long celebration that transforms the city into a major art hub. The 33rd edition is scheduled for October 30 – November 1, 2026, with an invitation-only preview on October 29.

The 2026 theme: "Fancy: A Flexible, Acrobatic Body"

Under the direction of Luigi Fassi, leading the fair for the fifth consecutive year, the 2026 edition revolves around the concept "Fancy: A Flexible, Acrobatic Body," inspired by the philosophy of Martha C. Nussbaum. "Fancy" is celebrated as an agile, flexible, and acrobatic body, with art acting as a public intelligence capable of strengthening democratic spaces. The new visual identity, created by the FIONDA studio, transforms historical logos into dynamic brackets.

Fair sections

Artissima is divided into four main sections and three curated sections, overseen by boards of curators and museum directors:

• Main Section: galleries with an established international program;
• New Entries: young galleries participating for the first time;
• Monologue/Dialogue: monographic projects and dialogues between two artists;
• Art Editions: multiples, editions, and artist books;
• Present Future: emerging research dedicated to young talent;
• Back to the Future: the rediscovery of contemporary art pioneers;
• Disegni: works on paper and the practice of drawing.

With over 170 galleries from dozens of countries, Artissima is the primary meeting point for collectors, curators, museum directors, artists, and enthusiasts. The fair also awards numerous prizes, making it a privileged vantage point for market trends and artistic research.
