Collective exhibition of art, photography, jewelry, and crafts in the cloister of Palazzo Andrioli
ART&XPO is the collective exhibition that annually transforms the cloister of Palazzo Andrioli, a historic residence dating back to the late 16th century, into an open-air gallery in the center of Lequile, a town in the Salento region of Lecce, Puglia. The event takes place during the patronal feast of Saint Vitus, traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of June, offering visitors an artistic journey that complements the town's religious and civic rituals.
ART&XPO began as a "collective exhibition among friends," bringing together various forms of expression: art, photography, jewelry, and crafts. The works are designed to connect with the viewer, fostering a deep and continuous dialogue with the public. The exhibition's goal is to share images and creations that reflect the extroverted and fleeting nature of art, stimulating resilience, sharing, and collective well-being.
The choice of the Palazzo Andrioli cloister is no coincidence: the building, a witness to Lequile's history, provides the exhibition with a suggestive backdrop of vaults, columns, and local Lecce stone. The event lives in symbiosis with the feast of "Santu Itu ranne," the great patronal cult that has been rooted in Lequile since the 19th century, drawing the community together every year for religious celebrations, processions, and civic festivities.
For three days, ART&XPO becomes an opportunity to stroll among the works, meet the artists, and experience the festive atmosphere of this Salento town. Its intimate and informal format, combined with free admission, makes it an event suitable for curious visitors, art enthusiasts, and families choosing to visit Lequile during its most cherished feast.
From June 27 to 29, 2026, the cloister of Palazzo Andrioli in Lequile hosted a new edition of ART&XPO, held during the patronal feast of Saint Vitus. The collective exhibition brought art, photography, jewelry, and crafts into dialogue, with the goal of sharing works with the public that stimulate resilience, sharing, and collective well-being. Free admission for all three days.
The 2026 edition brought together nine artists with works in painting, photography, jewelry, and crafts:
