In the heart of the Aniene Valley, just a stone's throw from the border with Abruzzo, the village of Arsoli (Metropolitan City of Rome, Lazio region) hosts one of the area's longest-running and most beloved popular festivals every summer: the Arsoli Beer Festival. Founded in 1992 by a group of young people united by the idea of combining beer and music, the event has grown over the years into a staple of the last weekend in July, attracting thousands of people from all over Lazio and beyond.

Three nights of live music

The heart of the festival is the stage set up in the historic center, where free concerts are held for three consecutive nights. The programming is intentionally eclectic and attentive to new trends: over the years, it has featured rock, folk, ska, reggae, singer-songwriter performances, and the most contemporary Italian urban scene. Admission to all shows is completely free, a choice that has made the festival a landmark for young people in the Aniene Valley and surrounding areas.

Beer, street food, and conviviality

Alongside the concerts, stalls enliven the village squares and alleys with a wide variety of draft beers and a rich selection of street food, ranging from local specialties to grab-and-go dishes. The atmosphere is that of a typical summer village fair: outdoor tables, people of all ages, and a sense of conviviality that lasts until late at night.

Free camping

One of the unique features that makes the Arsoli Beer Festival special is the free campsite provided for visitors arriving from out of town: an area equipped with water, electricity, and restrooms, designed for those who want to experience all three nights without a care. It is one of the reasons why the festival has become a small gathering point for live music fans from various regions.

A local event

Organized by the Nuovo Gruppo Giovani Arsoli, the event is more than just entertainment: since its inception, it has aimed to showcase the village and its traditions, promoting meetings and cultural exchange through music. Arsoli, with its evocative Castello Massimo and medieval historic center, provides the ideal backdrop for an event that combines celebration, social interaction, and the rediscovery of an authentic corner of the Roman province.
